As investment in analytics, AI and business intelligence continues to grow, we are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to play a key role in shaping and delivering a modern enterprise data platform.

This opportunity offers the chance to work on large-scale data initiatives, modern cloud technologies and next-generation analytics capabilities that will support strategic decision-making across the business.

The Opportunity

You will join a growing data function responsible for building and evolving a modern cloud-based data ecosystem. Working closely with business stakeholders, product teams and technical leadership, you will help design scalable solutions that transform raw operational data into meaningful business insight.

This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, making it ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges while mentoring others and influencing the future direction of a data platform.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Designing and developing modern cloud-based data solutions
  • Building scalable data pipelines that ingest, transform and deliver business-critical information
  • Creating high-quality datasets that support reporting, analytics and AI initiatives
  • Driving improvements across data architecture, engineering practices and platform performance
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business challenges and deliver practical data solutions
  • Leading technical discussions and contributing to platform strategy and roadmap planning
  • Supporting the implementation of data governance, security and quality frameworks
  • Optimising data processes for performance, reliability and scalability
  • Working with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data sources
  • Supporting the adoption of modern engineering practices and automation
  • Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to capability development across the team

  • Strong commercial experience as a Senior Data Engineer, Data Architect or Lead Data Engineer

  • Experience building enterprise-scale data platforms and pipelines
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure data services
  • Strong understanding of data modelling and data architecture principles
  • Experience designing solutions for reporting and analytics workloads
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality and security best practices
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience operating within Agile delivery environments
