Account Manager

Job Location: Poole, Dorset

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week - Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4:00pm with a 1pm finish on Friday

We are looking to recruit for an experienced Account Manager to join a thriving manufacturing company in Poole.

Working in a friendly team of 3, you will be responsible for providing an excellent service to customers and keeping them updated with their project progress.

This role will require someone with a natural confidence to speak to customers, spark conversations and drive sales enquiries.

You will be looking after your assigned customers but also representing the company at trade shows and exhibitions to increase brand awareness and build new relationships.

This company possess an excellent reputation for quality, service and on time delivery and have been providing their services for over 30 years.

Some of your duties will include;

  • Building relationships with new and existing customers

  • Responding to customer enquiries regarding general sales enquiries, stock, progress and pricing

  • Attending tradeshows, representing the company and liaising with other businesses / potential customers

  • Actively going out and speaking to potential customers at tradeshows and over the phone, finding out about upcoming projects and offering your services

  • Providing quotations

  • Loading sales orders on to the system

  • Communicating with manufacturing, purchasing and other departments to establish updates and timelines

  • General office administration including updating internal databases

    Our ideal candidate will possess;

  • Previous experience within a role dealing with sales enquiries and providing an excellent service

  • Experience of looking after your own customer accounts

  • A proactive approach to building new customer relationships and driving new business

  • A cheerful and friendly disposition

  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships

  • Excellent communication skills

  • A proactive approach

  • Good IT skills, experience with Microsoft programmes including Excel, Word and Outlook.
