Azure Cloud Engineer – 3 Month Contract – Leicester (Hybrid) - Outside IR35

VIQU have partnered with a global organisation based in Leicester, who require an Azure Cloud Engineer to support on a contract basis.

The role:

This Azure Cloud Engineer role will be involve supporting and enhancing the client’s Azure environment, delivering infrastructure solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and ensuring secure, scalable cloud operations.

The successful candidate will support both business-as-usual (BAU) operations and contribute to ongoing project initiatives.

Key technical skills & experience:

Extensive experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer
Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Azure Foundations & Scaffolding, Landing Zones
Azure Networking: Expertise in Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, NSGs/ASGs, VPN Gateways, and Azure Firewall
Azure IaaS & PaaS: Experience deploying and managing VMs, App Services, Azure Storage accounts, and PaaS offerings (e.g., Azure App Service, Azure Migrate).
Identity Management (Entra ID): Strong knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD), AAD Connect, RBAC
Azure SQL: Proficient in provisioning, configuring, and managing Azure SQL databases (PaaS) and Managed Instance
Automation & PowerShell
Experience with Azure DNS zones, custom DNS servers
Role details:

Role: Azure Cloud Engineer     
Duration: 3 months   
IR35: Outside IR35 - (Off-payroll regulations do not apply)
Rate: £450 - £500 per day
Location: Hybrid – Leicester
