C# Web Developer (ASP.NET MVC SQL) – Chorley (On Site)

An exciting opportunity has opened to join a company that are a market leader in their sector. They are putting great effort into their latest venture and require an ambitious addition due to growth. They are looking for a C# Developer with strong SQL Server skills to be part of a small but energetic team. You’ll need to write clean, efficient, maintainable code and have strong communication & collaboration skills with other developers, managers, and clients.

You will play a crucial role in designing, developing and maintaining web applications, and ensure optimal performance and security of the SQL databases. You will have the opportunity to work with both innovative, cutting-edge web technologies and well-established, classic tools, making for a dynamic and varied tech environment.

Technical Skills

  • C# .NET, ASP.NET MVC, good knowledge of Entity Framework schemas

  • .Net Core

  • Experience with a JavaScript framework (React, Angular, or Vue.js)

  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery

  • TCP/IP protocol, experience with threading, working with resources like memory & files

  • SQL Server

    Advantageous

  • Git or TFS

  • Authentication and authorization patterns, Single-Sign-On, JWT, Web Tokens

  • Web application deployment on Windows servers

  • API development

  • Windows server management

  • VM, Azure Cloud, microservices

  • Linux

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to gather requirements, analyse user needs, and develop software solutions.

  • Design and implement database schemas, queries, and stored procedures using SQL

  • Develop backend services and APIs using .NET Core and C#

  • Create responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Conduct unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests to ensure reliability

  • Troubleshoot issues, debug code, and provide timely resolution to software defects.

  • Review code, share knowledge, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
