Do you love inspiring young women to design, create, and innovate? We're seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design & Technology Teacher to join our well-regarded Independent girls' school in Haringey on a temporary, part-time basis, starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to develop practical skills and creative thinking in our bright students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16) in North London.
What you'll be doing:

  • You'll be planning and delivering engaging Design & Technology lessons, nurturing creativity and technical proficiency in areas like product design, engineering, and digital design.
  • It's about guiding students through the entire design process, from that initial spark of an idea to the final prototype, using a variety of materials and technologies.
  • You'll cultivate a safe and stimulating workshop environment where students feel empowered to experiment, innovate, and build valuable practical skills for the future.
    What we're looking for:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Design & Technology.
  • Experience teaching engaging and effective D&T lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
  • A strong understanding of design principles, manufacturing processes, and, of course, health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside strong workshop management, are crucial.
