EDM Engineer

Salary: £39,000 - £45,000   

Location: Eastfield, Glasgow, G72 area

Hours: 37 per week; Working a 3 shift pattern

Early: Monday to Thursday 6am – 2pm & Friday 6am – 1pm

Back: Monday to Thursday 2pm – 10pm & Friday 2pm – 9pm

Late: Monday to Thursday 10pm – 6am & Friday 10pm – 5am

Start Date: ASAP

Syntech Recruitment are proud to partner with a high precision component manufacturer who produce complex parts for a variety of regulated industries. We are searching for an experienced EDM Engineer to join their team based near Eastfield, Glasgow G72 area.

EDM Engineer Responsibilities:

Set up and operate production machinery, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to operational specifications.
Load raw materials and unload finished components, maintaining a smooth production flow.
Adjust machine settings as needed to meet product specifications and quality standards.
Interpret and work from technical drawings, maintaining strict compliance with customer tolerances.
Follow all safety protocols and operational procedures, including company-specific standards and process documentation.
Maintain accurate production logs, recording equipment issues, repairs, and adjustments for traceability and continuous improvement.
Conduct regular machine inspections to identify potential mechanical or safety issues and take corrective action as required.
Ensure machines are stocked with the necessary tools and materials to prevent unnecessary downtime.
Maintain a safety-first mindset, prioritising the well-being of yourself and your team around operational equipment.
EDM Engineer Requirements:

Time-served EDM Engineer, with proven expertise in precision machining environments.
Hands-on experience in both Spark Erosion and Wire Erosion, delivering high-accuracy results.
Confident in reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings, ensuring precise execution of specifications.
Track record of working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards on complex components.
Strong understanding of safety protocols and manufacturing regulations, ensuring safe and compliant operations at all times.
