Monday to Friday working hours, 8.30pm-5pm Mon – Thurs with a 1pm finish on a Friday!

THE BUSINESS
Our client based in Cramlington specialises within the aviation & technology sector. An incredible opportunity has opened up for an ambitious and driven individual. This role will allow you to travel around the world visiting clients in amazing locations.
  
This role will involve building, installing, implementing and supporting the roll out of the company’s software and hardware at client’s sites. Then offering training and technical support.
  
The ideal candidate will have an electronic and technical background. This role offers the opportunity to learn and develop within a niche sector.
  
An electronic engineering background is essential; however, the need for clear communication; technical acumen and eager to contribute to a dynamic team in the Aviation and related technology sectors is key to this role.
  
This role will report into the Operations Manager.

THE ROLE

Procure, Build, Install, and Test of business products
Prepare/produce project documentation using business project methodology and QA procedures
Prepare and conduct acceptance testing where required to obtain milestones and sign off
Perform Installation and commissioning at customers sites as required
Delivery of projects within planned timescales and within allocated budget
Deliver customer training as required
Produce progress reports as required by the Operations Manager
Ensure the Operations Manager is updated with any changes to proposed project plan
To act as a role model and set a positive example for more junior engineers
Provide customer support as per Warranty and Maintenance contract Terms and Conditions
Record on CRM all support and service activities
Perform Case analysis and resolution
Progress any Case which results in an IR for development through the Software team
Liaise with customer engineers and management with a degree of sensitivity where situations become political or sensitive
Provision of sales support and project costing information for procurement
Advise at the bid stage on proposed solution with a view to implementation and commissioning
To maintain and develop professional relationships customers
To mentor where required more junior engineers
Attend project meetings as required
Be the main point of contact for the customer when Project in implementation phase
Provide support where required to the engineering and developer teams
Produce all project documentation as required by QA Project procedures and Operations Manager   
THE PERSON    

You will have a full UK driving licence
An electronics background or engineering education/qualification is essential for this role
You will have a sound understanding of PCB’s and related wiring work within hardware
Working knowledge of current Windows Server Operating Systems is essential
Working knowledge of current Windows Desktop and networking is essential
Working knowledge of current Windows SQL Server is advantageous
Working knowledge of firewalls is an advantage
Wide knowledge of data systems
A knowledge of soldering is desirable
Good telephone manner with diagnostic abilities for support
Ability to work as part of a team or alone as required
Ability to work remotely from the rest of the team using MS Teams
Smart appearance able to communicate well at different customer management levels
Willingness to travel locally and overseas
Ability to protect and maintain the integrity of the business in the workplace
