Our client, a well-established and actively expanding blue-chip financial servicers organisation, they require a SunSytems Administrator to support their internal clients and assist them in a number of exciting transition project to upgrade to the latest cloud based versions of their other financial modelling, FP&A, Procurement & payment systems, Financial Systems consolidation and the opportunity to learn & execute code-based automation and/or API integrations between across different systems.

THE ROLE:

The purpose of this role is to develop, maintain and, where necessary, provide support to end users for Infor Sun Systems and associated products (Bank Reconciliation, Q&A, Data lake, interfaces etc), You will work within the Financial Systems team and your stakeholder/s with be the wider finance function You will have design authority and be encourage to automate and optimise Infor SunSystems wherever possible. As a SunSystems SME you will ensure appropriate Financial Controls are in place. You will also be a key player in a number of exciting projects to upgrade and further automate, integrate and effectively configure other financial systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibility for maintenance and development of Sun Accounts and ancillary products, and providing support to end users

Co-ordinate and provide expert specialist guidance to all projects and new developments in terms of SunSystems and processes.

Educate both local and wider business functions in the use of Sun Accounts

Assist and support the team in the provision of Finance systems (Sun accounts and modules, system interfaces)

Act as point of contact to ensure successful issue resolution and update customers according to agreed service level agreements.

Comply with best practice financial controls for finance systems that reduce risk to the company’s finances

Development and maintenance of existing processes requiring SQL or VBA expertise.

Be team representative responsible for liaising with Group Technology on technical issues (e.g. Interface/Data Lake/SQL/Server/Database issues)

Continually review and make recommendations for improvement tools, systems, and process.

Co-ordinate the annual audit user reviews for Sun systems

Support the Finance Systems Accounting team where necessary.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Understanding of data structures and experience of extracting and utilising data to drive key strategic decisions, including the production of insightful analysis.

  • Financial controls and an appreciation for financial/management accounting

  • Strong communication and Stakeholder management skills.

  • Systems development and change control.

  • Sun Super User or Sun Systems Administration experience covering some/all of the following :

    • Maintenance of Static Data

    • Business Unit and Ledger Setup Administration

    • User Manager

    • Q&A skills to advanced level

    • Thorough understanding of the structure of Sun (LA codes / CoA)

    • Transfer Desk

    • Assisting end users with ad-h oc queries around Sun/Q&A

    • Bank Reconciliation software (desirable but not essential)

    • Data Lakes

      DESIRABLE SKILLS (Not Essential):



* Experience of IBM Planning Analytics (TM1)

* Medium to Advanced VBA skills

* Medium to Advanced SQL skills an advantage

* Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint)

* An aptitude for business IT and management information

* Financial Services or MI background desirable

* Experience of procurement systems
