My client is based in the London area are currently looking to recruit for an experienced Lead GCP Data Architect to join their team. They are one of the leaders within the consulting space and are currently going through a period of growth and are looking for an experienced Lead Data Architect to join their team.They are backed by a huge Multi National equity firm who are looking to bolster my clients financial position. They are expected to see year on year growth, which will allow them to implement and utilise the most in demand and cutting edge technology on the market right now. They have just implemented Gen AI within their organisation are looking to utilise the newest technologies on the market.

Your role will include:

Enterprise Architecture & Delivery: Spearhead the design and implementation of scalable data ecosystems-spanning data lakes, lakehouses, and warehouses-leveraging platforms such as GCP, BigQuery Snowflake, Synapse, or Microsoft Fabric.

Cloud Transformation Strategy: Lead cloud adoption and modernization initiatives across GCP, utilizing infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform), CI/CD automation (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub), and DevSecOps best practices.

Data Architecture & Modeling: Bring deep technical expertise in enterprise-grade data modeling using tools like ERwin, PowerDesigner, or ER/Studio, ensuring models are optimized for performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability.

Data Integration & Pipeline Engineering: Design and implement resilient ETL/ELT workflows using technologies such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Informatica, or IBM DataStage, supporting both real-time and batch data processing.

Governance & Data Quality Management: Establish comprehensive data governance frameworks, including metadata management and quality assurance, using platforms like Unity Catalog, Alation, Profisee, or DQ Pro.

Strategic Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a strategic partner to executive stakeholders (e.g., CDOs, CIOs, Heads of Data), shaping data strategies, roadmaps, and business cases through in-depth assessments and advisory engagements.

Leadership & Talent Development: Guide and mentor global, cross-functional teams of data professionals-architects, engineers, analysts, and scientists-fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous learning.

The right candidate will:

Have extensive knowledge of writing codes, building data pipelines and doing digital transformation and ingestion within a certain tech suite and extensive experience in implementing solutions around the GCP cloud environment,
In depth understanding of Presales Activities, Workshops, Buds, Proposals etc,
Excellent understanding of Data Modelling (Physical, Logical, Conceptual),
An understanding of Enterprise Level Architetcure,
Strong hands-on experience in Data Warehouse and Data Lake technologies preferably around GCP.
