Senior Process Engineer (9-month contract. Inside IR35)

Are you a passionate and experienced Senior Process Engineer looking to make a significant impact in the Specialty Chemicals industry? Our client is seeking a dynamic individual to join their Project Process Engineering Team on a Top Tier COMAH site. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and have a knack for delivering capital projects, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of capital projects across the site. Your expertise will be instrumental throughout the project lifecycle, including:

Collaborating closely with the projects department and plant support teams.
Providing in-depth process engineering expertise during FEED, detailed design, construction, and installation stages.
Leading the commissioning of projects to ensure design intent is met and production is established safely and effectively.What We're Looking For:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

Essential:- Degree-level education in Chemical or Process Engineering (BEng or MEng equivalent).

  • Chartered Engineer and full Member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers (MIChemE).
  • Practical experience and theoretical knowledge in batch processing, particularly in the Specialty Chemicals industry.
  • Proven experience leading process engineering for capital projects.
  • Familiarity with HSE standards, including Pressure Relief Definition and Design, Basis of Safety definition, and Safety Instrumented Systems.
  • Knowledge of Process Risk Assessment systems (e.g., HAZOP) and the ability to prepare relevant documentation.

    Desirable:- Experience in commissioning capital projects on a Top Tier COMAH site.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to control activities effectively.
  • Excellent team collaboration skills, with a talent for influencing and gaining support.
  • Proficient in problem identification and analysis, with the capability to define and communicate proposals clearly
