Are you a thoughtful and engaging Psychology/Sociology Teacher eager to guide students through the fascinating complexities of the human mind and societal structures? We're thrilled to find a permanent, full-time teacher to join our well-regarded Independent mixed school in Enfield this September. This is an exceptional opportunity to spark intellectual curiosity and analytical skills in our students across Key Stage 4 (aged 14-16) and potentially Key Stage 5.
What you'll be doing:

  • You'll be designing and delivering captivating lessons in Psychology and/or Sociology, fostering critical thinking about human behaviour, social processes, and research methodologies.
  • It's about exploring diverse theories and concepts, encouraging students to question, analyse, and understand the world around them.
  • You'll cultivate a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to discuss complex ideas and develop their analytical and argumentative skills.
    What we're looking for:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Psychology or Sociology.
  • Experience teaching engaging and effective Psychology and/or Sociology lessons at Key Stage 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5) is highly desirable.
  • A deep and current understanding of the respective fields, plus that knack for making the subjects relevant and truly thought-provoking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong classroom management, and a talent for facilitating engaging discussions.
