Supply Science Technician – Bradford, West Yorkshire

Locations: Secondary schools across BD1–BD10
Contract: Term‑time supply (full or part‑time), immediate start or Sept 2025
Daily Rate: £90–£125 per day

What You'll Be Doing

Set up & run experiments: prepare chemicals, specimens, apparatus—everything from titrations to live specimens

Support during lessons: assist teachers and students, guide safe and effective use of equipment

Tidy up & maintain labs: wash glassware, repair kits, clean benches, ensure everything is classroom-ready

Inventory & ordering: track stock, check deliveries, spot when chemicals or kit need reordering

Who You Are

ℹ️ Qualifications: GCSEs (9–4/A–C) in English, Maths, Science + NVQ3/BTEC/RSciTech/A‑level/degree preferred

Lab-savvy: experience with lab equipment, making solutions, and setting up experiments

✅ Health & Safety knowledge: comfortable with COSHH, safe chemical handling/storage

Organised & proactive: enjoy planning, working independently, flexible across multiple schools

DBS checked: enhanced DBS or willing to get one

Nice-to-Haves

NVQ Level 3 in Laboratory & Associated Technical Activities (LATA) or RSciTech registered

ASE / CLEAPSS training, or recent First Aid certification
