Tradewind Recruitment / SANZA Teaching Agency is working with a variety of forward-thinking secondary schools in the London Borough of Ealing to recruit Science Technicians (Chemistry) for the upcoming academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to support engaging, hands-on science learning by ensuring labs are well-resourced, safe, and inspiring.

About the Role

Science Technicians (Chemistry), you'll play a vital role in the smooth running of the science department, preparing materials and ensuring that teachers and students have everything they need for impactful practical work.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing and organising chemical solutions, reagents, glassware, and equipment for Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 lessons.
Assisting with in-class experiments and demonstrations under teacher supervision.
Managing chemical stock levels, lab equipment, and ensuring safe storage and handling of substances.
Maintaining clean, hazard-free laboratory environments in line with health and safety standards.
Ensuring compliance with COSHH regulations and school policies.
Supporting students and staff by providing technical advice and assisting with risk assessments where necessary.
Helping create engaging displays and maintaining resources for practical coursework.

What We're Looking For

We welcome applications from candidates who:

Hold a degree in Chemistry or a closely related science field.
Have prior experience in a school science lab or commercial lab (desirable, not essential - training can be provided).
Possess strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Are confident in handling chemicals and following strict safety protocols.
Work well independently and as part of a team.
Are passionate about education and excited to support young people's learning.
