Senior Data Business Analyst

A highly reputable financial services corporation is currently seeking a Senior Data Business Analyst with demonstrable experience in data solutions, data changes, and the analysis of data requirements as our client moves away from legacy applications to Azure cloud services. Our client is paying a basic salary between £65,000 to £75,000 + 15% bonus with exceptional benefits to be based in Chatham or Wolverhampton 3 x PW.

The chosen Senior Data Business Analyst will have strong capabilites in RAID, process for elicitation, and JIRA/Confluence, preferably with some exposure to Azure DevOps environments. This is an exciting project where the chosen candidate will gain exposure to modernisation as our client moves towards a cloud-first estate within a scaled Agile environment.

Core responsibilities:

Support the Product Owner in identifying product improvement opportunities in line with business Outcomes and Key Results (OKRs), the Product Owner’s vision and roadmap.
As a Senior agile Business Analyst in Data & Analytics, you’ll capture and analyses data requirements, shaping technical design for agile delivery teams.
Develop data models, data flows, and other data-related artefacts to visualise data relationships and processes.
Assure solutions through techniques such as data modelling, data lineage, data dictionary, and information quality requirements
Core skill requirements:

Previous work experience as a Data Senior Business Analyst / Lead Business Analyst within the Financial Services industry is preferable.
Significant technical understanding of a business intelligence landscape including the fintech operational systems, data repositories, data services, data migration, data management and cloud storage is essential.
Extensive practical knowledge of tools, techniques, processes for elicitation and management of Business and technical requirements is essential.
Working as a business analyst within data migration initiatives is a must have
Proficiently writing functional and technical user stories and related acceptance criteria in alignment with business objectives is a must have.
Proficiency in data analysis techniques, including working with large datasets and identifying trends is a must have.
Familiarity with data architecture, ETL process and cloud data platforms (eg. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a must.
Strong experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including business users and technical teams, is a must-have.
Experience with SQL for querying databases and familiarity with data visualisation tools like Tableau Power BI or Qlik is a nice to have.
