Howdens Joinery are looking for a Senior .NET Developer to join our Supply Chain Application Development Team

What you will be doing:

You will be joining a dynamic and collaborative team based in Howden, East Yorkshire, where innovation is at the heart of our approach. The role is remote with regular visits to the Howden site for collaboration with the team and business. This position provides the opportunity to leverage your technical expertise to transform business requirements into enterprise-grade solutions while ensuring high system availability and robust support.

As a Senior member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the development work on projects and managing sprints and backlog when required. There will be the opportunity to share your skills and knowledge in the form of mentoring and supporting more junior members of the team.

What we need from you:

  • Experience within C# .NET Development /Full-Stack Development and have worked on technical projects from inception through to delivery.
  • Recent experience using C#.NET 8/9, SQL Server and React
  • Experience in ORM technologies such as EF 8
  • Source control:  GIT / Azure DevOps
  • Good understanding of unit testing frameworks and test coverage
  • Demonstrable experience of object-oriented design patterns, code refactoring and awareness of SOLID principles
  • Good exposure and understanding of Web services using Restful APIs. Applicants with any exposure to GraphQL and cloud hosting is advantageous.
