Socode are excited to be partnering with a globally recongnised sensor technology company developing next-generation solutions for flow and gas sensing across global markets – from high-performance consumer devices to advanced healthcare and industrial systems.

What will I be doing?
You’ll lead the design and execution of test systems for complex sensor products – building the hardware, developing the software, and delivering reliable, actionable results that directly influence development and commercial success.
Key responsibilities include:

Architect, build and validate custom test setups, integrating electronics, fluidics, mechanical fixtures, and environmental control
Develop LabVIEW-based automated test software with intuitive interfaces, scalable architecture, and robust data handling
Design and fabricate (or outsource) custom mechanical and electronic test hardware including fixtures, PCBs, and gas/fluid setups
Create detailed test specifications, plans and scripts to characterise sensor performance and validate compliance
Execute verification, qualification and correlation tests across development and early production stages
Build data pipelines and analysis tools in Python or MATLAB to extract, visualise and interpret key performance insights
Work closely with hardware, software, firmware and applications teams to define test criteria and refine results
Contribute to lab infrastructure development and help mentor junior engineers
Support root-cause analysis for anomalies and product investigations with methodical, hands-on testingWhat do I need to be successful?
This is a highly technical and hands-on role requiring experience across electronic systems, software, fluidic systems, and data. You'll need strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and the drive to build scalable, high-quality test processes that power product success.
We’re looking for:

A degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences
Proven experience in test development – ideally involving sensors, flow, or gas sensing technologies
Strong Labview OR Python experience - Willingness to learn Labview is essential!
Good understanding of fluid mechanics and gas laws
Skilled in designing and integrating test setups using electronics, mechanical fixtures, and standard lab equipment
Familiarity with test jigs, CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred), and ISO 9001 environments
Comfortable in a multidisciplinary R&D setting with evolving requirements and high standardsInterested in the role? Then you can either:
