Software Developer
Location: Bury (Hybrid – 2 days on-site per week)
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum
Type: Full-time, Permanent

VIQU has partnered with a leading organisation to recruit a Software Developer to join their thriving technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development and support of critical business applications within a modern, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in all phases of the application development lifecycle, from planning and coding to testing and deployment.
Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement within applications and development processes.
Provide high-quality support for core business applications, ensuring issues and requests are handled promptly and professionally.
Conduct live releases of applications with minimal disruption to end users.
Participate in an on-call support rota for critical systems.
Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and collaborate with business stakeholders.
Contribute to code reviews using Git and GitHub, ensuring code quality and consistency.
Key Requirements:

Proven experience with PHP and Laravel framework.
Strong front-end development skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Vue.js (2 or 3).
Proficiency in working with JSON and relational databases including MySQL and SQL Server.
Familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative development.
Basic knowledge of Linux environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
Desirable Skills:

Understanding of Microservices architecture.
