    Pease note - candiate must be within 45 minuite commute to Stoke, no relocation. Candidate must have valid Right to Work in the UK.

    My Stoke based client is currently looking to onboard a SQL Developer, you will play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organisation. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions that ensure the accuracy, accessibility, and performance of the data systems

    Key Skills:


    Minimum 2 years of experience in developing scripts for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) mass data from diverse sources and formatting

    4+ years of experience with SQL Server and SQL database development
    o
    Understanding of normalisation
    o
    Able to performance tuning especially tuning queries, procedure and indexing strategies
    o
    Knowledge of SQL transaction processing
    o
    Able to write stored procedures transactional systems and data modelling
    o
    Understanding primary and foreign key relations
    o
    Knowledge of exception handling

    Great Data Modelling skills.

    Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate large volumes of data.

    In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, backup, recovery, security and monitoring)

    An ability to understand front-end user’s requirements and a problem-solving attitude

    Ability to create technical documentation to explain the solution that was implemented

    Strong communication skills, able to express code and design decisions to other technical staff and business analysts

    Sense of ownership
