Are you a systems-savvy professional ready to play a pivotal role in one of Southern Water’s most high-impact teams? We're looking for a Systems Integration Lead to join our Programme Controls Team, supporting the smooth delivery of strategic programmes through first-class system management, integration, and data governance.

This is your opportunity to influence how major infrastructure programmes are delivered – by creating reliable, data-rich environments where informed decisions happen in real time.

Job Overview

In this highly visible role, you'll be the driving force behind our PMO systems landscape – ensuring seamless integration between Primavera P6, PIM, SAP, and CEMAR, while championing data accuracy, system performance, and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders – including the Executive Leadership Team – and may even deputise for the Programme Controls Manager when needed.

Responsibilities will include:

Configuration, maintenance and development of core PMO systems, including P6, PIM, and their integrations with SAP and CEMAR.

*

Ensure real-time, reliable data visibility across cost, schedule, risk, and performance – acting as the gatekeeper for all PMO-related data.

*

Lead system enhancement initiatives, managing upgrades and aligning systems with evolving programme needs.

*

Deliver insights that drive action – producing performance reports and data analytics that support smarter decision-making.

*

Collaborate across departments – working with the Digital, Data, Procurement and Commercial teams to maintain a single, trusted source of truth.

*

Provide hands-on user support and training, building capability across project teams and ensuring systems are used to their full potential.

*

Manage vendor relationships and SLAs to ensure our systems remain robust, compliant, and aligned with governance standards.

About You

You’ll bring proven experience managing or supporting PMO systems within complex programmes or portfolio environments, with strong technical expertise in Primavera P6, PIM, and system integrations involving platforms such as SAP and CEMAR. Your excellent data management skills mean you have a keen eye for accuracy, validation, and turning information into valuable insights. Comfortable working across all levels of the organisation, you can confidently engage with both technical teams and senior leadership. You’re proactive in solving technical challenges and committed to continuous improvement. A degree in IT, Engineering, or Project Management is essential, and certifications in P6, SAP, or CEMAR would be a welcome bonus.

Package

This role will be full time Monday to Friday 37 hours a week.

Southern Water operate a hybrid approach to working between our Falmer office and home.

We are offering from £60k per annum depending on skills and experience as well as other benefits including:

• Company and performance-related bonus

• Generous pension up to 11% company contribution

• 25 days annual leave

• Life assurance equal to 4x salary

• Salary sacrifice electric car scheme (after 6 months service)

• Health Cash Plan

• Full funded eye tests

• Two paid volunteering days a year

• Occupational health service

• Discounts with over 800 popular retailers

• Digital GP service

• Study support may be available for job-related qualifications

• Competitive maternity leave and flexible return to work options

• Cycle to work scheme

Does this opportunity excite you but you’re not 100% sure if you meet all the requirements for the role? Or are you concerned that ‘normal’ office hours aren’t possible given your personal circumstances? Whilst we can’t accommodate every flexible working request, we’ll try to find a practical solution. So why not engage with us and find out more about this role?

Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, because delivering water for life is our core purpose. To achieve this, we need 24/7 support in place to resolve incidents quickly and efficiently. All our employees understand the importance of out-of-hours incident support – because when problems appear, fixing them is our top priority. That’s why our people join together and support when and however needed to make sure our customers get the service they deserve. Joining the Southern Water family means you’ll become part of our incident support team. During your interview, your manager will speak to you about any incident support rotas that apply to your position.

Privacy Statement:

Please note: If you are an existing Southern Water employee, you will need to confirm within your application that your Manager is aware of your application.

All applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. You will need to provide evidence of eligibility (e.g. a passport or long birth certificate and proof of NI) and current proof of address (dated within the last 3 months), will be required as part of the recruitment process. If you do not meet these criteria, your application will not be considered.
