We are supporting an NHS organisation in recruitingAzure Data Engineers to join a major data transformation programme. This is an excellent opportunity to work on modern Azure data platforms within a collaborative and highly impactful healthcare environment.

We are hiring for:

  • 1 x Junior Azure Data Engineer (3–4 years' experience)
  • 1 x Senior Azure Data Engineer (6–7+ years' experience)
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build and maintain scalable Azure data pipelines.
  • Develop ETL/ELT solutions using Azure Data Factory.
  • Work with Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Databricks to process and transform large datasets.
  • Develop, optimise and maintain SQL solutions.
  • Collaborate with analysts, architects and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, governance and best practices across the Azure data platform.
  • Support ongoing enhancements and maintenance of existing data engineering solutions.
Required Skills
  • Strong experience withMicrosoft Azure
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Azure Databricks
  • Azure Synapse Analytics
  • SQL Server
  • SQL Development (T-SQL)
  • Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Excellent SQL query optimisation and data modelling skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Experience RequiredJunior Azure Data Engineer
  • Approximately3–4 years of commercial experience
  • Good hands-on knowledge of Azure Data Factory, SQL and Azure data services
  • Experience supporting cloud-based data engineering projects
Senior Azure Data Engineer
  • Approximately6–7+ years of commercial experience
  • Proven expertise designing and delivering Azure data engineering solutions
  • Strong experience with Databricks, Synapse and Azure Data Factory
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to solution design
