Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 + Benefits and Bonus

As a Data Engineer you will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and data architectures that enable reliable analytics, reporting, and decision-making across complex environments. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand real-world data challenges, transform raw and unstructured data into meaningful insights, and apply distributed compute techniques to manage large-scale, high-volume datasets across batch, streaming, and real-time platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines and orchestration workflows
• Design database schemas and data models
• Integrate and enrich data from multiple sources, ensuring consistency and quality
• Design and implement ETL/ELT processes (e.g., using Apache NiFi)
• Produce reusable, maintainable code with a test-driven approach
• Maintain and enhance existing data platforms and services
• Investigate and resolve operational issues across integrated datasets
• Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information
