SC Cleared Data Engineer (AWS) - Contract Opportunity

- £475-£490 per day (Inside IR35)

- Remote (UK) with minimal travel - once every 2-4 weeks in London

- Contract until 30th August

We're looking for an SC Cleared Data Engineer to join a high-impact project within a secure environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with modern AWS data tools and can confidently deliver data pipelines, analysis, and insights with minimal oversight.

What You'll Be Doing

Building and maintaining data pipelines on AWS

Using Amazon Athena to query and analyse large datasets

Writing efficient, scalable SQL for data transformation and analysis

Leveraging Python for data processing and automation

Carrying out data analysis to support business insights and decision-making

Working closely with stakeholders to turn requirements into practical data solutions

Ensuring data quality, performance, and reliability across workflows

What We're Looking For

- Active SC Clearance (essential)

- Strong experience with AWS, particularly Athena

- Advanced SQL skills

- Hands-on Python experience

- Solid background in data analysis

- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

Experience in secure or regulated environments

Familiarity with data governance best practices
