Public Sector - Government Client

Delivery Lead (SFIA Level 5)

£540 Inside IR35 per day

Location: Remote (Telford 2× monthly - Worthing also a possibility)

Clearance: BPSS (must be SC eligible)

Tenure: 6 months

Start Date: 1 June 2026

We are seeking an experienced Delivery Lead to coordinate a data engineering and testing capability within a government-aligned environment. The role focuses on ensuring structured, predictable delivery across complex data pipelines and integration workloads, operating within public sector standards and governance.

Key Responsibilities

Own delivery cadence, reporting, and senior stakeholder alignment (public sector client and internal teams)

Manage backlog flow in Jira and ensure work is ready for delivery into engineering and test teams

Proactively identify and manage delivery risks, dependencies, and blockers

Coordinate across data engineering and testing functions to maintain delivery flow

Provide clear, concise, senior-level delivery updates and forward-looking plansExperience Required

Proven delivery leadership experience within data, integration, or platform environments

Demonstrable experience delivering within government, public sector, or regulated programmes

Strong stakeholder management skills across both technical and non-technical audiences

Solid understanding of Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum and/or Kanban)Nice to Have

Exposure to central government departments

Understanding of ETL processes and data pipelines (hands-on experience not required)
