Senior Data Architect – Contract - Inside IR35

I'm working with a major UK organisation looking for a Senior Data Architect to help shape the evolution of a large-scale, cloud-based data ecosystem.
This is a senior but technically hands-on architecture role, working across complex distributed data platforms and influencing architecture direction across multiple engineering and data teams.
Key experience:
Enterprise-scale Data Architecture
AWS cloud data platforms
Spark / PySpark / Python
Airflow & ELT/data processing
Data Lakehouse & Data Products
Streaming / Event-Driven Architecture
Data Governance
Architecture standards, patterns & technical design reviews
Experience with delivering data architecture that enables ML/AI platforms essentialThis isn't an ivory-tower architecture position. We're looking for someone with deep engineering credibility who can operate at both technical and senior stakeholder level.
Financial Services or another highly regulated environment would be advantageous.
