Network IT are partnering with a leading organisation to recruit a Senior IT Project Manager to deliver a portfolio of high-profile data and reporting transformation projects.

This role will play a key part in programmes including the decommissioning of SAP BusinessObjects (BOXI), Tableau to Power BI migration, Snowflake data migration, and wider reporting and analytics initiatives. It is a business-led transformation programme with significant executive visibility and stakeholder engagement.

Role Overview

As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will lead complex data and reporting projects, acting as the bridge between technical delivery teams and senior business stakeholders.

Whilst not a hands-on technical role, you will possess sufficient knowledge of data, reporting, and analytics environments to challenge delivery teams, hold developers accountable, and ensure solutions meet agreed standards and business objectives.

Working alongside a Business Analyst, Report Writer, and Data Engineer, you will drive delivery, manage risks and dependencies, and establish clear, consistent communications across a broad stakeholder community.

Key Responsibilities

Lead delivery of major reporting and data transformation projects, including BOXI decommissioning, Power BI migration, and Snowflake initiatives.

Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and governance.

Work closely with technical teams to challenge assumptions, maintain standards, and ensure quality delivery.

Build strong relationships with senior and executive stakeholders, confidently presenting progress, risks, and recommendations.

Translate technical concepts into meaningful business outcomes and provide alternative solutions when challenges arise.

Partner with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, and Reporting Specialists to coordinate successful delivery.

Overhaul and standardise programme communications, introducing more effective stakeholder engagement methods including executive briefings, town halls, and targeted communications.

Drive continuous improvement across project delivery, reporting, and governance practices.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience delivering large-scale data, reporting, analytics, or technology transformation projects.

Formal Project Management certification (PRINCE2, MSP, APM or equivalent).

Strong understanding of data platforms, reporting environments, and business intelligence solutions.

Ability to use technical knowledge to effectively challenge developers, manage quality, and drive accountability.

Experience working with senior stakeholders, including Executive and Board-level audiences.

Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus.

Experience creating and managing communication strategies for complex business transformation programmes.

Strong organisational, risk management, and problem-solving capabilities.

Highly Desirable

Experience with SAP BusinessObjects (BOXI).

Experience delivering Tableau to Power BI migrations.

Experience with Snowflake or modern cloud-based data platforms.

Background in enterprise reporting, BI, or data transformation projects
