We are looking for an experienced and technically capable Environments Team Lead to manage the delivery and maintenance of client-facing test environments within a high-performing DevOps function at a growing FinTech. This role is hands-on and focused on managing non-production environments—particularly UAT and integration testing platforms used directly by clients.

The successful candidate will lead a small team responsible for ensuring environment availability, stability, and quality, while working closely with stakeholders across engineering, infrastructure, QA, product, operations, and client delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities



Lead the team responsible for managing UAT and other client-facing test environments.

Plan and deliver environment upgrades, configuration changes, and maintenance activities.

*

Investigate and resolve environment issues, ensuring minimal disruption to client testing.

*

Collaborate across departments to support client onboarding, testing, and integration efforts.

*

Oversee out-of-hours support rotations and ensure reliable coverage for critical environments.

*

Support the development of team members through mentoring and technical guidance.

Essential Requirements

*

Proven experience supporting complex multi-tier environments across Windows and Linux platforms.

*

Strong working knowledge of cloud services (Azure or AWS).

*

Experience with messaging technologies (e.g., IBM MQ), SQL (T-SQL), and XML-based tools.

*

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as TeamCity or GitHub Actions.

*

Experience using configuration management tools (e.g., Chef, Puppet, or Ansible).

*

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.

Desirable Skills

*

Scripting or development experience (PowerShell, C#, Ruby).

*

Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes).

*

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems such as Git.

*

Understanding of protocols like SWIFT, FIX, or SFTP.

*

Previous experience in a FinTech or enterprise software environment
