Job Title: Test SME - Data Migration
Location: London, 2-3 days onsite per week
Remuneration: Daily rate from £600
Contract Details: Fixed Term Contract, 8 months, Full Time

Responsibilities:
Join our dynamic Data Office as a Test SME - Data Migration and be at the forefront of transformative data projects! You will support and execute the testing phase of data migration projects, ensuring data accuracy and integrity throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Develop and document comprehensive test strategies tailored for data migration.
Plan and execute functional, system, and acceptance testing with precision.
Identify risks and manage defect resolution proactively.
Ensure data quality using profiling tools and methodologies.
Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Maintain detailed documentation and reports for transparency.
Map source-to-target data fields and validate transformation logic effectively.
Cleanse, transform, and standardise data to meet project needs.
Perform advanced data analysis and validation, delivering actionable insights.
Investigate issues and recommend process improvements for efficiency.
Evaluate and test semantic rules and tool configurations.
Support reference/static data setup for testing and go-live readiness.
Conduct post-migration reviews and document lessons learned.

Secondary Duties Include:

Create automated reports and visualisations that simplify data insights.
Ensure data governance, privacy, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Provide expert advice on tools and innovation opportunities.
Support cutover planning and runbook execution seamlessly.
Coordinate user training and post-migration validation activities.
Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders throughout the migration process.

Required Skills & Experience:
Essential:

Proven experience in data migration execution and testing.
Familiarity with tools like ETL Validator, Testing Xperts, Dextrus, and Azure Document DB.
Proficiency with ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, SSIS, and migration tools like AWS DMS and Azure DMS.
Strong SQL and database knowledge (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
Solid understanding of data governance, quality, remediation, and security.
Strong documentation and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage risks while delivering tangible benefits.
Capable of juggling multiple projects and prioritising tasks effectively.
