Senior Software Engineer - (UK Remote)

Our client, an innovative SaaS company, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their remote team.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a fully serverless platform built on AWS and Azure, using cutting-edge technologies such as React,

TypeScript, and Node.js.

You'll play a key role in developing intuitive, responsive, and visually compelling features that enhance the user experience.

You'll also have the chance to influence design and architecture decisions while driving technical excellence across the engineering team.

What's on Offer

· Fully remote UK based contract

· £60,000 - £70,000 starting base salary

· You will be entitled to 25 days' holiday plus 8 public holidays. We also offer an optional two weeks' unpaid leave based on working full time.

· We offer a company pension scheme with 7% employer contribution and 2% employee contribution. The employee can make additional contributions and the employer will match these up to a further 3%.

· We offer private medical healthcare and life insurance 4x your salary.

· You will be eligible to be considered for a discretionary bonus (9%)

· You will be eligible to participate in the company's share options scheme

What You'll Be Doing

· Designing and building complex front-end features using modern JavaScript frameworks.

· Collaborating with UX/UI designers and stakeholders to deliver seamless user experiences.

· Ensuring performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.

· Influencing architecture and contributing to product design discussions.

· Promoting best practices through code reviews and mentorship.

· Staying up to date with emerging technologies and tools.

What We're Looking For

· Expert-level JavaScript/TypeScript with deep experience in React, Vue, or Angular.

· Strong grasp of HTML5, CSS3, browser APIs, and responsive design principles.

· Proven experience in integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs.

· Understanding of web security and accessibility best practices.

· Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

· A proactive mindset and a passion for building quality software.

Essential Experience

· Significant background in SaaS product development.

· Track record of delivering high-quality, user-focused features.

· Version control (Git) and collaborative workflows.

· Performance optimisation and responsive design implementation.

Bonus Points For

· Full-stack capabilities with Node.js or similar.

· Familiarity with AWS or Azure services.

· Experience with NoSQL/graph databases.

· Knowledge of state management, testing practices, and scalability.

· Open-source contributions or reusable component library development.

· Experience mentoring developers and supporting team growth.
