A welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Derbyshire is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their dynamic Science department from September 2025. This is an exciting chance to inspire students across Key Stages and contribute to a thriving learning environment.

What you'll bring to the lab:

  • A genuine passion for science and the ability to bring Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to life for students of all abilities.

  • Essential: Proven experience teaching Science within the UK secondary school system.

  • Essential: A strong understanding of the Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Science curriculum and assessment methods.

  • Desired: Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 5 (A-Level or equivalent).

  • Excellent classroom management skills, fostering a safe, engaging, and productive learning environment where students feel empowered to ask questions and explore.

  • The ability to plan and deliver creative and differentiated lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and promote scientific inquiry.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

  • A collaborative approach to working within a team, contributing to the development of the Science curriculum and sharing best practices.

  • A commitment to your own professional development and staying up to date with the latest scientific advancements and pedagogical approaches.

    What would be a plus:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is highly desired.
