We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Data Business Analyst to join their team in Northampton.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives:
The Business Analyst will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand business problems, define requirements, and ensure effective delivery of solutions aligned with customer needs and technical capabilities.

Collaborate during ideation to create ideation packs and problem statements to drive alignment and define business objectives.
Develop epics, user stories, and feature stories forming a prioritised backlog based on user needs and journeys.
Design operational models focused on customer outcomes, detailing impacts, operating models, and legacy documentation for future changes.
Support design discussions, resolving conflicting requirements, ensuring traceability, and contributing to acceptance criteria.
Quantify the business impact of technology changes, aiding communication, business readiness, and transition planning.
Consolidate stakeholder viewpoints into a unified business need, balancing value, risk, compliance, and user experience.
Provide best practice guidance using experience in process, technology, and regulation to support sound decision-making.
Required Skills/Experience:
The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Solid understanding of data transfer, APIs, and ETL processes.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and technical knowledge of:
    o API design
    o Microservices Architecture (MSA)
    o Integration and interface design
    o Reusable APIs
  • Familiarity with cloud-based applications.
  • Industry knowledge in Payments and Payment technologies.
  • Understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
  • Working knowledge of Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
  • Lifecycle management understanding.

    Skills That Will Help You in the Role:

    Awareness of business analysis frameworks and practices.
    Hands-on experience performing Business Analysis in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
    Good knowledge of financial regulations.
